Over several years I have created images that each depicts a scene of sexualized revenge. Explorers came to the North American continent and forcibly took native lands from people who had lived there in settlements for hundreds of years. Some of this has been the stuff of Hollywood movies.
For example, cowboys in the Wild West days showed brutality towards various natives who resisted the take-over of their land and resources. But, this chapter in human history began with the historic 1492 arrival of Christopher Columbus in the New World at what we now call the Caribbean Islands.
Retributions by natives since that time are documented in historical records during the original westward expansion of United States civilization. But, often the retribution stories are withheld deliberately from mainstream discussion. Perhaps one reason for such a suppression of discussion is because depictions of revenge by indigenous people over time morphed into violent sexual fantasies for gay men thanks the persistent creativity over many decades of various gay underground artists who chose this theme. See the bottom of this post for a small but representative collection of such similar works done by other artists.
